Over the past week in Ontario, CA IE Fight Night held a USFL Tournament that was able to narrow down the field of kids to make TEAM USA. After speaking with USFL PRESIDENT JON FRANK a couple of things we’d like to share.
IMMAF (Sounds like its spelled) the international Amateur MMA federation that the UFC is backing have been working to get Amateur MMA in the 2028 Olympics in LA. They have over 50 member nationals and have held at least 5 world championships for adults in as many years.
One of the 2 outstanding requirements to qualify is a youth development program. Last year the US affiliate of IMMAF asked the USFL to fill the void for a US youth development program, This Aug will be the very 1st IMMAF World Championships for Cadets which will include divisions for ages 12-17.
The US Team is made up of kids from We accomplished this last week and kids from Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Arizona, California North and South, Hawaii and Illinois .
