Newcomer David Bear wants to prove his worth against top contender at Brave 10
Frenchman David Bear has signed a contract with Brave Combat Federation and will be making his debut against one of the promotion’s top Welterweights in Jarrah Al-Selawe. Not only that, Bear will also be facing “The Jordanian Lion” in his home country of Jordan at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises, set for Amman, on March 2nd.
However, the undefeated fighter, who boasts a 7-0 MMA record, feels no pressure in facing a top contender in his first Brave fight, as he feels all eyes will be on Al-Selawe, as he looks to put a stamp on his opponent’s title shot hopes.
“I don’t feel any pressure on fighting in my opponent’s backyard. Inside the cage, it’s just me and him and no one will be able to stop me. I think Jarrah Al-Selawe is a great fighter, he fights smart, but it’s my time. I’ll have to fight smart too if I want to beat him, and that’s something I will do, for sure. I want to show my skills to the world and prove to everyone that I’m a top, world-class fighter”, says Bear.
The Frenchman has been involved with Brave Combat Federation as a cornerman and feels the Welterweights form the promotion’s most stacked division.
“I have been part of lots of events in the world as a coach and as a fighter and for sure Brave is one of the best events I have been part of so far. Everything is well organized and fighters are really respected. The Welterweight level is really good. I think it is the best division in Brave. And with my name on it now, it is even more”, laughs the Frenchman.
