“Maybe a fighter tests positive and still fights because It’s in the Commision’s Interest”
Jon Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) successfully defended his title for an eighth consecutive time after defeating Daniel Cormier (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) via unanimous decision at the Jan. 3 pay-per-view event. He was randomly tested on Dec. 4, and results came back on Dec. 23, Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Bob Bennett.
Now with this drug test coming back it has raised a lot of eye brows about the NSAC which are not very good for them. For years the NSAC has been in the middle of the boxing world about “Their” drug testing methods.
“They’re saying that test shouldn’t have been done out of competition and that it was an accident. So they went to test him and accidentally tested for cocaine. But now Jon Jones’ champion image is damaged.”
So “Out of Competition ” means that He was tested more than 12 hours before competition.
“So what’s the commission going todo about this” They go: Ah, we don’t know, we’ll see what’s going to happen. Are there laws or are there no laws? sometimes there are laws and sometimes there are none? There are no Protocols to be followed? where are the laws? who voted for them? who implements them? You are lost, you don’t know what you are doing.”
In this case it is rather simple when you want to sit here and play devils advocate for minute because when we see Jon Jones get busted for Cocaine and all any does is feel bad for the guy sure we get it you want to see the guy get help so do we but, you can’t turn a blind eye to the fact he took a drug basically got a way with it as well. Dana White said that Jon Jones had a right to compete yes and no, if you feel bad for the human you as the “MAN” could have stopped this from going any further because you knew about the drug test. How can you not suspend him? or take his title from him?? but yet you can WMMA fighter Ashlee Evans Smith faces a suspension for a failed drug test?? Nate Diaz, Matt Riddle and more fighters take Marijuana are all currently out of the UFC more fighters are sitting outside.
Something here is missing?? Stand by your champ support him through a tough time, Got it but look at the standard that is being set. TWO SIDES!
