I.E Fight Night: Night of the Champions

Ontario, CA – I.E Fight Night returned to California Education of Performing Arts Center for Night of the Champions that featured 8 USFL Titles plus the first crowning of I.E Fight Night Youth champion. I.E Fight Night youth portion of the card saw 24 USFL sanctioned fights. The team of the night as a group out of Tracy, CA from Castro MMA went 7-1 on the night that saw Isabel Garcia fight 2 times (5 rds. in total) and winning both her fights. Garcia’s first bout went to decision and then came back later in the evening to pick up a submission win via armbar.

In other USFL/I. E Fight Night champion bouts saw Mason “The Beast” Bramlette control his title bout as he won a unanimous decision over Paul Acu for the Schoolboys division of 130 lbs for the USFL West Title. Bramlette was able to score his double leg takedown attempts at will throughout the 5 rds of action. Rosas Family (Jesse, Kevin and Raul) all came away victorious as Jesse and Kevin both took home USFL titles. Rounding out the great action I.E Fight Night Youth crowned their first Youth Champion as Delton Kaufman won the I.E Fight Night Novice 110 LBS title via arm bar over Seth Priest.

 

I.E Fight Night transitioned over to the adult amateur portion of the card that saw Threshold MMA and Millennia MMA as the two teams that were the most represented last night and featured in the Co Main Event as well as the Main Event. In the Co Main Event it featured Freddie Colbert (Threshold MMA) vs Luis Navarro ACE Fitness), the fight was packed with from the start to the end as both fighters threw down. In the end the fans saw Luis Navarro with his hands raised as he won via 3rd rd TKO and punched his ticket as he’s the #1 contender for the I.E Fight Night Welterweight Title in the new year.

In the main event of the evening it saw Christopher Hernandez (Millennia MMA) vs Miguel Gil (Evolution), this was a late addition to the card after multiple opponents pulled out of the bout with Hernandez and Gil. The 2 combatants came together to fight for the I.E Fight Night 145 Featherweight title and put on a show for the fight fans. Hernandez was too much for Gil in the 2nd rd as he was able to finish the fight via TKO.

 

Other, mentions from the evening saw Jayson Sanders debut from Elite Martial Arts and Fitness as he took on Jeungjoo Choi from CSW, as this was a lot of action back and forth between both fighters that saw Sanders still the show as he landed a straight right that landed clean on Choi that sent him crashing to the mat. Sanders finished with a TKO.  In the only women’s bout of the evening saw a returning Dana Rojas as she took on Danielle Walters, who came in looking for their first wins in their young amateur careers. It started off with both fighters feeling each other out as Walters was throwing more faints as Rojas looked for her chances. Eventually it was Rojas that was able to get inside and get into the clinch. Rojas took the fight to the cage as she was able to control the fight there. Rojas was land solid strikes inside the clinch as Walters didn’t have an answer for the strength that Rojas displayed. In the end it was Rojas walking away the victor at I.E Fight Night: Night of the Champions.
