EMC 5 Weigh-In Results: Heavyweight Title Fight & Welterweight Grand Prix Kicks-Off

Dusseldorf, Germany: All fighters made weight earlier today ahead of Elite MMA Championship 5 tomorrow night, Saturday, September 5. The inaugural EMC heavyweight champion will be crowned as Japanese Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii (23-11-1) meets former BAMMA champ & Bellator veteran Stuart Austin (14-6) of the UK.

The four-man EMC Welterweight Grand Prix also kicks-off tomorrow as Ismail Naurdiev (19-4) competes for the first time since leaving the UFC and takes on top Polish prospect Tymoteusz Lopaczyk (7-1). In the other semi-final PFL veteran Pavel Kusch (23-7) faces Georgia’s Amiran Gogoladze (10-1), who recently completed an undefeated run in M-1. The finalists will then square-off at EMC 6 with the winner crowned the EMC welterweight champion.

Elsewhere on the card KSW heavyweight superstar Erko Jun (3-1) returns to action against Polish bruiser Damian Olszewski (2-3), fast-rising German prospect Konrad Dyrschka (10-1) collides with Italian bad boy Walter Pugliesi (7-2), and two more heavyweights clash as German wrestling machine Kasim Aras (4-1) faces CroCop Team’s Sasa Milincovic (7-2).
