Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship announced on May 9, 2018 that they have signed former UFC Vet Bec Rawlings as she’ll become the first women fighter under there banner. She’ll knuckle up for the promotion June 2nd in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She’ll be one of many fighters that will be competing in the first ever legalized bare knuckle boxing event in the United States since 1889.
“Rowdy” Bec Rawlings made a name for herself on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, but the transition into the UFC strawweight division wasn’t met with the same confidence as she won just 2 fights under there banner. Now, she’ll be taking off the gloves to compete for BKFC.
Rawlings statement from Instagram:
IT’S OFFICIAL I’m fighting on Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship!! Yeah you heard me…I get to punch people in the face with these hands, BARE.
Rawlings style has always been more about the brawler and letting her hands fly. Joining the roster of BKFC, she’ll be able to do just that.
BKFC will be aired in the United States and Canada on Pay Per View Television across all major distributors. The fight card is expecting to feature 12 professional bouts that’ll consist of fighters who have competed in boxing, mma, kickboxing and Muay Thai Also with plans to host an 8-man heavyweight tournament.
BKFC will be under the guidelines and regulations of Wyoming Combative Sports. Fighters announced for the event feature: Phil Baroni, Mike Richman, Joe Riggs and Ricco Rodriguez.
